The Christian Confedercy of American States

In 2027, taking advantage of the new Peaceful Secession clause, the broad swath of country from Lynchburg to Colorado Springs reorganized itself as the Christian States of America; soon after, sought California and the Southwest joined northern Mexico as Mexamerica, southern Florida entered the Caribbean Union, Utah became its own theocratic state, and several American Indian homelands declared themselves independe4nt. It was the worst year for mapmakers since 1990.

The Christian Confederacy of American States, also known as "The Christian States of America" and "God's Country," is a theocratic nation in which Christian values rule, abortion and sexual deviance are punishable by death, indecency is not tolerated, compulsory prayer opens every school day, and the Ten Commandments are posted in every classroom and public building.

Javal

The Imperial colony of Javal (founded TE 94) was a marginal world, its economy sustained largely by tourism and mineral production.

After the fall of the First Empire, society on Javal quickly regressed to a pre-industrial level.

In 3187 CE, a group of ideological outcasts from the Deletian Monarchy settled on Javal. Calling themselves "Klavvin," (a word of uncertain origin), they conducted a systematic absorption of the natives, which was complete by c. 3800 CE.

In 3524 CE, the Klavvin signed a trade treaty with the Tr#skan Trade Union, and by 3700 CE the island of Traskas was a Level One Tr#skan Trade Base, with a state-of-the-art spaceport in Teklenn Valley.

In 4635 CE, following the destruction of BDA Tr#ska, approximately 20,000 Tr#skan refugees landed on Javal and took up residence on Traskas Isle. Relations between the Tr#skans and the Klavvin became strained.

With the failure of Relay Delta (4723 CE), the Tr#skans became increasingly isolated from the rest of the Galaxy. Finally, in 4864 CE the Klavvin invaded Traskas and enslaved the Tr#skans. With a combination of drugs and hypnosis, the Tr#skans were reduced to a slave-labor caste.

This situation continued until 4951 CE, when a delegation of Knights Economic led an assault against Javal and succeeded in freeing the Tr#skan slaves.

InfoPol

Before they reach the tanks, a blue-shirted InfoPol officer marches smartly up to them, her dark hair maintaining a perfect coiff in spite of the humidity. She is flanked by two U.N. peacekeepers in khakis, with blue helmets gleaming and rifles held ready.

Damien holds out his hand. "Good evening, Officer. What can we do for you?" He makes sure to stand so that she can see the Starburst glowing yellow against his dark skin.

The woman flashes a badge, ignoring Damien's outstretched hand. "Officer Caparthy, InfoPol." She hands him a flatscreen. "I have a warrant for the arrest of one Miranda Maris."

The Dareta h'Lamoth

Scattered Worlds race which flourished c. 400 million BCE. At their peak, the Dareta h'Lamoth commanded a union of approximately 300 worlds. Physically, the Dareta h'Lamoth were a flying race, resembling pteranadons. They preferred worlds with light gravity and dense atmospheres.

The Dareta h'Lamoth had unusually high precognitive sensitivity; to some degree, they could see the future. This ability usually followed genetic bloodlines, so that a particular Dareta h'Lamoth could dimly sense the future of her descendants, but not the future of another bloodline.
